This is one of my go to spots for late night food. Two locations in Seattle…one in Wallingford and one in Capitol Hill. The Capitol Hill location is actually a restaurant (an old KFC to be exact). The location in Wallingford is a food truck with about six or seven spot to sit (outdoors) under a canopy. Both locations serve up delicious fast Mexican food. My favorite here is the chicken quesadilla and a sampling of their tacos (normally a chicken and a pork). Either one of the burritos (the Rancho or the Bravo) are also pretty good here. I can’t really tell the difference between the two they both taste the same to me. Regardless, both are delicious. When you get your order don’t forget the hot sauces. Go for the green one. Not quite as hot as the red ones but it adds some great flavors to the food.

These guys also opened up a BBQ truck across the street at the 76 station. I have not tried it yet but I will let you guys know how of is as soon as I am able to get out there.

For under $10 you can get the chicken quesadilla or a burrito and a drink.

Bánh Mì Chè Cali

8 Mar

15551 Brookhurst St
Westminster, CA 92683

Mon-Sun 9:00 am – 9:00 pm

It seems like I have been eating a lot of banh mis lately but three banh mis for $5 how can you go wrong?  I guess you can go wrong if you get spoiled food that will make you sick.  This was not definitely not the case here at Banh Mi Che Cali.  I ordered the BBQ Pork, the chicken, and the ham.  By far my favorite was the ham.  I love how they loaded up on the pate and pickled veggies. Also, the bread is fresh baked in-house everyday!

If you are in the Westminster/Garden Grove, CA area bring your $5 (cash) to this former Taco Bell location to get your three Vietnamese sandwiches.  All the seats have been removed from the location so don’t count on eating in…there are a few seats outside if you really need to eat right away.  But you are in SoCal, enjoy the beautiful weather

This place really is a Seattle staple.  You cannot come to Seattle and not try a burger at Dick’s.  There probably are better burgers out there but definitely not for under $3 for a burger (i.e. Red Mill).  These guys open late, so this is a great option to grab some grub after having a few beers if you are the Edmonds, Queen Anne, Capitol Hill, Lake City, or Crown Hill areas of Seattle.  But remember all of the Dick’s are drive-in locations with the exception of the one in Queen Anne.

The Deluxe Burger and fries is my normal order here.  This will run you only about $5!  So if you are not lactose intolerant like me go for one of the milkshakes as well.  I have very fond memories of the milkshakes as a kid here.  All three flavors (chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla) are really great addition to any meal you get.

For under $10 you can get a Deluxe Burger, fries, and a milkshake.
